Ron Tegeler - Solo Acoustic Guitar

After Ron heard Tommy Emmanuel play, he never looked back.  Ron purchased a new acoustic guitar and acoustic guitar amp and set off learning as much as he could from Tommy's online videos and master classes.  The first song Ron learned was Tommy's version of Classical Gas, which is still one of the most popular tunes in Ron's setlist.  Ron even found his way to one of Tommy's Guitar camps held in Nashville Tennessee, which was an inspiring and motivational event.  Today, Ron has nearly a dozen Tommy Emmanuel arrangements as part of his normal setlist, which the audiences continue to enjoy.  Tommy also inspired Ron to start writing & performing a number of original songs on the acoustic guitar.  Ron is currently in the studio with the hopes of completing his second internationally released album dedicated to the acoustic guitar.

Does Ron only play instrumentals, you may ask?  Absolutely not!  Ron still likes to sing some of his favorite classic tunes from the days when he was on the road, traveling & performing across the country.  It's not unusual to hear Ron belt out the vocals to a Doobie Brothers tune or maybe an old classic country favorite.

For Ron, playing the acoustic guitar has become an alternative way to express himself musically, yet keeping his jazz influence as the basis of his new acoustic performances.  Tommy Emmanuel essentially became the bridge to this new path of self expression.
